Accreditation type is a fixed list of values that Chalk uses for accreditation type. The allowed values are PROGRAMMATIC, REGIONAL, NATIONAL, SPECIALIZED. A record can only ever hold one of these exact values, which keeps accreditation type consistent across curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget records, as well as the API. When you see one of these on a record, it is one of the defined accreditation type states rather than free text, so reports and automations can rely on it.
