tenant id (AuditLog.tenantId) is a field stored on each audit log record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the audit log record's data. The tenantId field belongs to the audit log it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set tenantId while working with that AuditLog record. Because tenantId is part of the AuditLog record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the audit log.
