metrics (BoardReport.metrics) is a field stored on each board report record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Json value and is part of the board report record's data. The metrics field belongs to the board report it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set metrics while working with that BoardReport record. Because metrics is part of the BoardReport record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the board report.
