Budget request status is a fixed list of values that Chalk uses for budget request status. The allowed values are BR_DRAFT, BR_SUBMITTED, BR_UNDER_REVIEW, BR_APPROVED, PARTIALLY_APPROVED, BR_DENIED, WITHDRAWN. A record can only ever hold one of these exact values, which keeps budget request status consistent across curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget records, as well as the API. When you see one of these on a record, it is one of the defined budget request status states rather than free text, so reports and automations can rely on it.
