Committee membership — role

role (CommitteeMembership.role) is a field stored on each committee membership record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the committee membership record's data. The role field belongs to the committee membership it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set role while working with that CommitteeMembership record. Because role is part of the CommitteeMembership record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the committee membership.
