Committee type is a fixed list of values that Chalk uses for committee type. The allowed values are STANDING, AD_HOC_COMMITTEE, SEARCH. A record can only ever hold one of these exact values, which keeps committee type consistent across curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget records, as well as the API. When you see one of these on a record, it is one of the defined committee type states rather than free text, so reports and automations can rely on it.
