term id (CourseDFW.termId) is a field stored on each course dfw record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the course dfw record's data. The termId field belongs to the course dfw it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set termId while working with that CourseDFW record. Because termId is part of the CourseDFW record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the course dfw.
