course id (CourseProgram.courseId) is a field stored on each course program record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the course program record's data. The courseId field belongs to the course program it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set courseId while working with that CourseProgram record. Because courseId is part of the CourseProgram record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the course program.
