Evidence artifact — evidence item id

evidence item id (EvidenceArtifact.evidenceItemId) is a field stored on each evidence artifact record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the evidence artifact record's data. The evidenceItemId field belongs to the evidence artifact it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set evidenceItemId while working with that EvidenceArtifact record. Because evidenceItemId is part of the EvidenceArtifact record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the evidence artifact.
