Fiscal period — parent id

parent id (FiscalPeriod.parentId) is a field stored on each fiscal period record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the fiscal period record's data. The parentId field belongs to the fiscal period it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set parentId while working with that FiscalPeriod record. Because parentId is part of the FiscalPeriod record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the fiscal period.
