Hidden work category is a fixed list of values that Chalk uses for hidden work category. The allowed values are INFORMAL_MENTORING, DEI_WORK, EVENT_ORGANIZATION, CRISIS_RESPONSE, STUDENT_SUPPORT, ADMINISTRATIVE_OVERFLOW, COMMUNITY_LIAISON, CURRICULUM_DEVELOPMENT, OTHER_HIDDEN. A record can only ever hold one of these exact values, which keeps hidden work category consistent across curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget records, as well as the API. When you see one of these on a record, it is one of the defined hidden work category states rather than free text, so reports and automations can rely on it.
