pre value (ImpactMeasurement.preValue) is a field stored on each impact measurement record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Float value and is part of the impact measurement record's data. The preValue field belongs to the impact measurement it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set preValue while working with that ImpactMeasurement record. Because preValue is part of the ImpactMeasurement record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the impact measurement.
