Loop status is a fixed list of values that Chalk uses for loop status. The allowed values are COLLECTING, ANALYZING, PLANNING, IMPLEMENTING, REASSESSING, COMPLETED. A record can only ever hold one of these exact values, which keeps loop status consistent across curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget records, as well as the API. When you see one of these on a record, it is one of the defined loop status states rather than free text, so reports and automations can rely on it.
