It holds a String value and is part of the ltiplatform key record's data. The algorithm field belongs to the ltiplatform key it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set algorithm while working with that LTIPlatformKey record. Because algorithm is part of the LTIPlatformKey record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the ltiplatform key.
