Measure type is a fixed list of values that Chalk uses for measure type. The allowed values are EMBEDDED_ASSIGNMENT, EXAM, PORTFOLIO, CAPSTONE, EMPLOYER_SURVEY, ALUMNI_SURVEY, STUDENT_SELF_ASSESSMENT, EXIT_INTERVIEW, OTHER. A record can only ever hold one of these exact values, which keeps measure type consistent across curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget records, as well as the API. When you see one of these on a record, it is one of the defined measure type states rather than free text, so reports and automations can rely on it.
