Meeting type is a fixed list of values that Chalk uses for meeting type. The allowed values are DEPARTMENT, COMMITTEE, CURRICULUM_COMMITTEE, ASSESSMENT, HIRING, AD_HOC. A record can only ever hold one of these exact values, which keeps meeting type consistent across curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget records, as well as the API. When you see one of these on a record, it is one of the defined meeting type states rather than free text, so reports and automations can rely on it.
