total credits (Program.totalCredits) is a field stored on each program record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Int value and is part of the program record's data. The totalCredits field belongs to the program it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set totalCredits while working with that Program record. Because totalCredits is part of the Program record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the program.
