It holds a String value and is part of the schedule template record's data. The description field belongs to the schedule template it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set description while working with that ScheduleTemplate record. Because description is part of the ScheduleTemplate record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the schedule template.
