It holds a String value and is part of the staffing offer record's data. The candidateId field belongs to the staffing offer it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set candidateId while working with that StaffingOffer record. Because candidateId is part of the StaffingOffer record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the staffing offer.
