It holds a String value and is part of the standard criterion record's data. The description field belongs to the standard criterion it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set description while working with that StandardCriterion record. Because description is part of the StandardCriterion record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the standard criterion.
