Strategic initiative — start date

start date (StrategicInitiative.startDate) is a field stored on each strategic initiative record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a DateTime value and is part of the strategic initiative record's data. The startDate field belongs to the strategic initiative it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set startDate while working with that StrategicInitiative record. Because startDate is part of the StrategicInitiative record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the strategic initiative.
