Timeline status is a fixed list of values that Chalk uses for timeline status. The allowed values are ACTIVE, PREPARING, UNDER_REVIEW, ACCREDITED, PROBATION, WARNING. A record can only ever hold one of these exact values, which keeps timeline status consistent across curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget records, as well as the API. When you see one of these on a record, it is one of the defined timeline status states rather than free text, so reports and automations can rely on it.
