Vote result is a fixed list of values that Chalk uses for vote result. The allowed values are PASSED, FAILED, TABLED. A record can only ever hold one of these exact values, which keeps vote result consistent across curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget records, as well as the API. When you see one of these on a record, it is one of the defined vote result states rather than free text, so reports and automations can rely on it.
