The updatedBy field on an AnalyticalMethod completes the edit audit trail. When a method's agency or description is corrected after initial entry, updatedBy shows who made the change and when. For regulated sites, this kind of traceability matters: if a regulatory reviewer questions why a particular method was described a certain way in a report, the updatedBy record helps document that a qualified staff member reviewed and approved the correction before the report was submitted.
