Exceedance Well

The wellId on an Exceedance is denormalized from the parent SamplingEvent to enable fast per-well exceedance queries. In a site with many monitoring wells, regulators and compliance staff often need to know which specific well is showing a trend of exceedances — this is the primary information used to trigger decisions about additional monitoring, confirmatory sampling, or remedial action at a particular well location. Filtering exceedances by wellId over time reveals the spatial pattern of contamination at the site.
