Import Batch Created By

The createdBy field on an ImportBatch provides accountability for who introduced a particular set of lab data into Piper. When an ImportBatch produces unexpected AnalyticalResults or Exceedances after commit, the createdBy record helps administrators identify who uploaded the file and can provide context about which lab report was intended. It is also part of the audit trail required by many environmental compliance programs to demonstrate that data was entered by authorized personnel.
