Regulatory Threshold Is Active

The `isActive` flag on a RegulatoryThreshold determines whether the limit is included in exceedance checks against new AnalyticalResults.

Setting isActive to false on a RegulatoryThreshold suspends it from exceedance detection without deleting it. This is useful when a limit has been superseded, is under regulatory revision, or applies only to certain monitoring periods. Deactivating rather than deleting preserves the historical record of what limits existed at the site. When isActive is true, the threshold is evaluated against every new AnalyticalResult for its analyteId and siteId combination. Administrators should review active thresholds periodically to ensure only current, applicable limits are generating exceedances.
