When a person logs in through Stratum Suite SSO, Suite includes a unique identifier in the JWT. Piper stores this as suiteId on the User record and uses it to look up the correct user during authentication. The value is set automatically on first login and never needs to be edited manually. It is distinct from piper's internal id and scoped to the Suite platform.
