User Email

The email field holds a User's email address and is the most recognizable way to tell who someone is across Relic — it shows up where users are listed, assigned, or attributed, such as picking a principal investigator for a project or an assignee for an excavation unit. Because email addresses are familiar and unambiguous, they make these people-pickers easy to use even when display names are missing or similar. The email is required on every user. It works alongside the optional display name for a friendlier label and the externalId, which is the actual key tying the account back to Suite for sign-in.
