User Name

The name field holds a User's readable display name — typically their full name, like "Dr. Maria Chen". When present, it is the friendly label Relic shows wherever the user appears, such as the principal investigator on a project, the author of a daily log, or the assignee of a lab batch, making those screens easier to read than an email address alone. It is optional, so a user freshly provisioned from Suite may have only an email until a name is filled in, and Relic falls back to the email in that case. The name is purely for display; the externalId remains the true key that identifies the account for sign-in.
