The Renter.balanceCents field holds the balance amount in cents for a Renter record in Locker. It is a whole number stored on each Renter, and staff see and set it wherever Renter records are managed. Keeping balanceCents accurate matters because the Renter is part of how Locker tracks occupancy, billing, and the delinquency-to-auction workflow for the facility.
