The 15-digit number from the animal's electronic ID (EID) tag, usually read by a wand at intake. It's the precise, scannable identity for traceability. No two animals in the same consignment can share an EID, so a duplicate scan will be rejected — re-read the tag or check you're not double-entering the same animal.
EID is unique per consignment, not globally. The same physical number could legitimately reappear in a different consignment, so the system only blocks duplicates within one load for this barn.
