displayName is the working name for the buyer — usually a ranch, feedlot, or person's common name. It's what appears in buyer lists, the ring, invoices, and loadout tickets. Keep it recognizable to your office staff and ring crew.
If the buyer is a legal entity with a different formal name, put that in the legal name field and leave the display name as whatever everyone calls them.
