Turn this on for a seller who has a valid exemption from the beef checkoff — the per-head assessment normally collected on cattle sales. When it's on, the system skips the beef checkoff line on this consignor's settlements. Leave it off for everyone else; the checkoff is mandatory by default.
Only set this when the seller actually holds an exemption on file. Wrongly waiving a mandatory checkoff can create a compliance and remittance problem for the barn.
