Tax ID Type

Tells the system whether the consignor's tax ID is an SSN, EIN, or ITIN — or that none is on file.

Pick the kind of taxpayer number this seller uses so 1099s are formatted correctly:

  • SSN — Social Security Number, for an individual person.

  • EIN — Employer Identification Number, for a business or ranch entity.

  • ITIN — Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, for a person without an SSN.

  • None — no tax ID on file yet.

Set this alongside the Tax ID itself. If it's set to None, you won't be able to generate a complete 1099 for that consignor.
