Health documentation (CVI, brand inspection, and more)

Health papers — CVIs, brand inspections, and disease tests — are attached to a consignment, can be scanned with OCR, manually verified, expired, or placed on legal hold.

Health papers are the regulatory documents that travel with animals. Tally tracks them per consignment so the office knows the paperwork is in order before sale.

The paper types Tally recognizes:

  • CVI — Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (health certificate).

  • Brand inspection — proof of ownership/origin.

  • Scrapie, Coggins, Brucellosis, TB — disease test records.

  • Other — anything that doesn't fit the above.

Each paper records who issued it, when, an optional document number, head count, and species. Papers can carry an expiration date so the office can spot one that's lapsed.

You can upload a scanned image of a paper and let OCR read the fields. Tally records how confident the scan was — low-confidence scans should be checked by hand.
