A lot's species is one of cattle, sheep, goat, hog, horse, or other. You cannot mix species inside a single lot — a lot is either all cattle or all sheep, never a blend.
If a consignment arrives with mixed species, they must be split into separate lots. The species on the lot must match the species recorded on each animal placed in it.
