Adjustments

An ad-hoc correction added to or subtracted from the settlement total.

Adjustments are one-off corrections that don't fit any standard fee — a goodwill credit, a missed charge, a rounding fix, or a manual deduction. The amount can be positive (adds to the payout) or negative (reduces it). Use the adjustments detail to record why each one was made.

Adjustments move money directly, so always document the reason in the adjustments detail. An unexplained adjustment is a red flag during settlement approval.
