Academic term — start date

start date (AcademicTerm.startDate) is a field stored on each academic term record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a DateTime value and is part of the academic term record's data. The startDate field belongs to the academic term it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set startDate while working with that AcademicTerm record. Because startDate is part of the AcademicTerm record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the academic term.
