The AcademicTerm record (AcademicTerm) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each AcademicTerm row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, name, type, startDate, endDate, isCurrent, year, createdAt, updatedAt. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a academic term as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every AcademicTerm row carries a tenantId, one institution's academic term data is never visible to another.
