It holds a DateTime value and is part of the annual review cycle record's data. The openDate field belongs to the annual review cycle it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set openDate while working with that AnnualReviewCycle record. Because openDate is part of the AnnualReviewCycle record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the annual review cycle.
