tier level (BudgetNode.tierLevel) is a field stored on each budget node record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Int value and is part of the budget node record's data. The tierLevel field belongs to the budget node it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set tierLevel while working with that BudgetNode record. Because tierLevel is part of the BudgetNode record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the budget node.
