The BudgetNode record (BudgetNode) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each BudgetNode row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, parentId, tierLevel, name, fiscalYear, status, totalAmount, allocatedToChildren, reservedAmount. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a budget node as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every BudgetNode row carries a tenantId, one institution's budget node data is never visible to another.
