Budget request — approved amount

approved amount (BudgetRequest.approvedAmount) is a field stored on each budget request record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Float value and is part of the budget request record's data. The approvedAmount field belongs to the budget request it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set approvedAmount while working with that BudgetRequest record. Because approvedAmount is part of the BudgetRequest record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the budget request.
