The BudgetTierConfig record (BudgetTierConfig) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each BudgetTierConfig row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, tiers, createdAt, updatedAt, tenant. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a budget tier config as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every BudgetTierConfig row carries a tenantId, one institution's budget tier config data is never visible to another.
