The Tenant record (Tenant) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each Tenant row stores fields such as id, name, slug, suiteTenantId, settings, createdAt, updatedAt, users, sessions, academicTerms. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a tenant as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. The tenant record links to the tenant that owns it, keeping each institution's tenant data isolated.
