Budget transaction — amount

amount (BudgetTransaction.amount) is a field stored on each budget transaction record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a Float value and is part of the budget transaction record's data. The amount field belongs to the budget transaction it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set amount while working with that BudgetTransaction record. Because amount is part of the BudgetTransaction record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the budget transaction.
