Budget transaction — linked transaction id

linked transaction id (BudgetTransaction.linkedTransactionId) is a field stored on each budget transaction record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the budget transaction record's data. The linkedTransactionId field belongs to the budget transaction it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set linkedTransactionId while working with that BudgetTransaction record. Because linkedTransactionId is part of the BudgetTransaction record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the budget transaction.
