period id (BudgetWorkspace.periodId) is a field stored on each budget workspace record in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. It holds a String value and is part of the budget workspace record's data. The periodId field belongs to the budget workspace it is recorded on, so faculty, staff, and automations read or set periodId while working with that BudgetWorkspace record. Because periodId is part of the BudgetWorkspace record, it stays consistent with the rest of that record's data and is scoped to the tenant that owns the budget workspace.
