The BudgetWorkspace record (BudgetWorkspace) is a record type in Chalk, the higher-education academic operations platform for curriculum, assessment, faculty, scheduling, accreditation, and budget. Each BudgetWorkspace row is scoped to a tenant and stores fields such as id, tenantId, periodId, name, type, description, status, isDefault, sourceWorkspaceId, createdAt. These fields hold the data Chalk needs to track a budget workspace as faculty, staff, and automations work with it. Because every BudgetWorkspace row carries a tenantId, one institution's budget workspace data is never visible to another.
